BlACKOUT TaTTOO

AFTERCaRE:

Frequently asked questions

  • Keep the initial wrap on overnight. Don’t remove it until the morning after your session unless instructed otherwise. Your skin needs that barrier to start the healing process.

  • Nope. Blackout work is entirely different—heavier saturation = more trauma to the skin. A more precise aftercare process is needed to avoid patchiness, infections, or blowouts.

  • If it looks shiny or greasy, you used too much. Always apply very thin layers—multiple times a day if needed. Tight skin = dry skin.

  • Usually around day 4, once the skin starts settling. At that point, switch to a white, unscented lotion like Lubriderm, Aveeno, or Eucerin—or Hustle Butter if preferred.

  • Let it peel naturally. Do not pick, scratch, or rub. Shower quickly, rinse gently, and keep the tattoo out of direct running water. Soaked scabs ruin blackout results.

  • About 2 weeks for surface healing, but full healing may take longer. Everyone’s skin is different. Keep moisturizing, avoid sun, sweat, swimming, or saunas until fully healed.
